A/C KIT APPLICATION AND INTERCHANGEABILITY CHART:

TITLE COROLLA GTS AIR CONDITIONING PRODUCTION CHANGE


For smoother engine idle under high ambient temperatures with the A/C ON, the following production change has taken place:

1) A/C idle up speed increased (see page 2).
2) A/C compressor was changed from a TV14 to TV12 type.
3) Engine cooling fan power from 45W to 120W.
4) Condenser fin pitch from 3.6 mm to 3.3 mm.

For smoother idle with the A/C on at high ambient temperatures on vehicles built prior to October, 1988, use the following procedure.

^ Install the following components:

* When following this procedure the old TV14 type compressor is an acceptable core.

A/C IDLE-UP E/G RPM CHART:

^ Adjust A/C idle-up engine RPM based on the ambient temperature (please refer to chart.).
