Throttle Cable/Linkage: Service and Repair

REMOVAL:

1. Disconnect the accelerator cable from the throttle body.
2. Remove end adjustment nut from mounting bracket and remove the sheath from the bracket.
3. Disconnect the cable from the accelerator pedal inside the car and pull the cable and sheath from the vehicle.

INSTALLATION:

1. Insert the cable through the firewall to the inside of the vehicle.
2. Connect the cable to the accelerator pedal.
3. Attach sheath at the mounting bracket on the intake plenum.
4. Connect the cable to the throttle valve linkage.
5. Adjust cable free play. Refer to ADJUSTMENT PROCEDURES for proper procedure.
