For the repair of body interior noise complaints, a Squeak & Rattle Repair Kit (P/N 08231-00801) is now available through the Toyota Parts System. Each kit contains the following:

This kit is intended to be used with Toyota publication, "Repair Manual for Interior Noise", first distributed to all Dealers in July 1988. Additional copies can be ordered through the Material Distribution Center (MDC) Non-Parts System (P/N 00401-42856). The Repair Manual for Interior Noise is a resource that can be used to speed the sometimes difficult and time consuming process of locating and repairing squeaks and rattles from the vehicles interior.
Part one of the manual is a general "how to" section that contains an organized approach to locating, analyzing, and repairing interior noise complaints.
Part two of the manual contains specific interior noise field fixes in the form of bulletins entitled "Interior Noise Service Tips". Additional sets of bulletins are scheduled for distribution. Set (P/N 00401-42856-02) was distributed with the dealer's 1991 repair manual sets in October 1990. A second set (P/N 00401-42856-03) is under preparation and will be distributed in November 1990. These bulletin updates can also be ordered through the MDC Non-Parts System.
