Detection Point Test

Detection Point Test:







1. After performing the PRETEST PROCEDURE above, slowly raise the rear of the vehicle.
2. The distance from the ground to the rear bumper should be 33.5 in. +/- 1.2 in..
3. Make sure that the warning light turns off.
4. Lower the vehicle and make sure that the warning light flashes once again.


Detection Point Test:







5. Slowly raise the front of the vehicle.
6. The distance between the ground and the lower body should be 26.8 in. +/- 1.2 in. or if equipped with a spoiler 25.6 in. +/- 1.2 in. between the spoiler and the ground.
7. Make sure that the warning light turns off.
8. Lower the vehicle and make sure that the warning light flashes once again.
9. If the warning light turns on with either end of the vehicle raised, check the deceleration sensor installation. Replace the sensor if the installation is OK.
