Wiper Motor: Service and Repair

FRONT

1. On models equipped with airbags, disarm airbag system as outlined under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG SYSTEM DISARMING.
2. On models less airbags, disconnect battery ground cable.
3. On all models, disconnect wiper motor wire connector, then remove wiper motor service cover, if equipped.
4. Remove wiper motor attaching bolts.
5. Using a screwdriver disconnect wiper link from wiper motor and remove wiper motor.
6. Reverse procedure to install.

REAR

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm and rear door trim cover.
3. Disconnect wiper motor wire connector.
4. Remove wiper motor bracket attaching bolts and wiper motor and bracket.
5. Reverse procedure to install.
