Seat Belt Retractor Limit Switch: Testing and Inspection

Limit Switch Connector:

1. Disconnect limit switch connector.

Limit Switch Test:

2. Ensure there is no continuity between terminals #1 and #2 with front switch off (shoulder anchor at front end position).

3. Ensure there is no continuity between terminals #3 and #4 with rear switch off (shoulder anchor at rear end position).

4. Ensure continuity exists between terminals #1 and #2 with front switch on (shoulder anchor not at front end position).

5. Ensure continuity between terminals #3 and #4 with rear switch on (shoulder anchor not at rear end position).

6. If continuity is not as described, replace limit switch.
