Fuel Filler Cap: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 7a Fuel Tank Cap:

1. Check the cap and cap gasket (O-Ring), for damage or deformities. Fig. 7a
2. If necessary, replace the gasket.
3. Check that air will pass from outside of cap through cap check valve to inside.
4. Check that air will NOT pass from inside of cap to outside.
5. If cap check valve malfunctions, replace cap.
