TITLE INOPERATIVE CASSETTE PLAYER

To prevent electrostatic discharge from disabling the cassette player, an aluminum foil sticker has been added to the inside of the face plate assembly: This sticker provides a pathway for the electrostatic discharge originating from a cassette to go directly to the audio chassis and avoid any damage to the printed circuit board and components.

The following are examples of electrostatic damage:
^ Tape will not eject.
^ Player will not accept tape.
^ Tape player is inoperative.
NOTE: If a customer comes in with a tape "stuck" condition, do not attempt to remove the tape. Forcible removal of the tape will damage the tape player mechanism. Instead, contact Fujitsu Ten for a replacement unit and request to have the tape returned.
