For the following 1985 models, the normal scheduled maintenance intervals have been simplified as follows:

^ Maintenance service, including an oil and filter change, is required every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

MX -- Cressida with 5M-GE Engine
MA -- Supra with 5M-GE Engine
SV -- Camry with 2S-E Engine
RA -- Celica with 22R-E Engine
AE -- GT-S Corolla with 4A-GE Engine
YR -- Van with 3Y-E Engine

However, the maintenance intervals for the following models are:

^ Oil and filter change every 10,000 miles or 12 months and maintenance service every 15,000 miles or 18 months, whichever occurs first.

AE -- Corolla FWD & RWD with 4A-C Engine
AL -- Tercel with 3A-C Engine
RN -- Pickup and 4 Runners with 22R or 22R-E Engine

^ Oil and filter change every 5,000 miles or six months and maintenance service every 15,000 miles or 18 months, whichever occurs first.

CE -- Corolla with 1C Diesel Engine
LN -- Pickup with 2L and 2L-T Diesel Engine

^ Oil change every 5,000 miles or six months, oil and filter change and maintenance service every 10,000 miles or 12 months, whichever occurs first.

CV -- Camry with 1C-T Turbo Diesel Engine

Several items require more frequent service under severe driving conditions as described in both the Owners Manuals and Repair Manuals.
