Removal
Brake & Hub Assembly:
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove tire and wheel assembly.
3. Remove the dust cap and, using pliers, remove the cotter pin.
Bearing Lock Nut:
4. Loosen the bearing lock nut while depressing the brake pedal.
5. Remove the two bolts holding the brake caliper to the axle hub.
6. Suspend the brake caliper with wire. Do NOT disconnect the brake line.
7. Remove the nut holding the stabilizer bar to the lower arm and disconnect the stabilizer bar end.
8. Remove the nut holding the strut bar to the lower arm and disconnect the strut bar end.
9. Using pliers, remove the cotter pin from the tie rod end.
10. Remove the nut holding the tie rod end to the axle hub.
Tie Rod End Removal:
11. Using SST #09610-20012 or equivalent, disconnect the tie rod end to the axle hub.
12. Remove the bolt holding the axle hub to the lower arm and swing the lower arm down out of the way.
13. Remove the bearing lock nut and washer.
14. Remove the bolt holding the axle hub to the strut housing.
Remove Axle Hub:
15. Using SST #09950-20014 or equivalent, pull the axle hub from the drive shaft.
16. Separate the strut housing and steering knuckle and remove the axle hub.
Remove Oil Seal:
17. Remove dust deflector. Using SST #09308-00010 or equivalent, pull the oil seal out of the axle hub.
Separate Axle Hub And Steering Knuckle:
18. Using SST #09608-16031 or equivalent, separate the axle hub and steering knuckle.
19. Remove the four bolts connecting the hub and disc and separate the hub and disc.
