Parking Brake Cable Assembly No. 1

REPLACEMENT
1. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER
2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH
3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
4. REMOVE COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY LH
5. REMOVE FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST
6. REMOVE PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY NO.1
a. Release the parking brake pedal.





b. Remove the clip and disconnect the parking brake cable assy No. 1 from the parking brake pedal assy.





c. Remove the nut and parking brake cable assy No. 1 from the parking brake equalizer.





d. Turn up the floor carpet and remove the 2 bolts and parking brake cable assy No. 1 from the body.

7. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSY. NO.1.





a. Install the parking brake cable assy. No.1 to the body with the 2 nuts.
Torque: 8.0 Nm (82 kgf-cm, 71 inch lbs.)





b. Connect the parking cable assy. No. 1 to the parking brake pedal assy and install the clip.





c. Connect the parking brake cable assy. No.1 to the parking brake equalizer with the lock nut.
Torque: 12.5 Nm (128 kgf-cm, 9 ft. lbs.)
8. INSTALL FRONT FLOOR FOOTREST
9. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSY LH
10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH
11. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PNL INSERT SUB-ASSY LWR LH
12. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL SUB-ASSY LOWER
13. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
