Rear Wiper Motor Assy

REPLACEMENT

1. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM COVER
2. REMOVE REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the nut to remove the rear wiper arm assembly.

3. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET

4. REMOVE ASSIST STRAP HOLE COVER

5. REMOVE ASSIST STRAP ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the bolt and assist strap assembly.




6. REMOVE BACK DOOR TRIM PANEL ASSEMBLY
a. Using a clip remover, remove the 16 clips and back door trim panel assembly.




7. REMOVE REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
a. Disconnect the connector.
b. Remove the 3 bolts and rear wiper motor assembly.

8. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR ASSEMBLY
a. Install the rear wiper motor assembly with the 3 bolts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

b. Connect the connector.




9. INSTALL REAR WIPER MOTOR GROMMET
a. As shown in the illustration, install the rear wiper motor grommet with it is position mark upside.




10. INSTALL REAR WIPER ARM ASSEMBLY
a. Clean the rear wiper pivot serration with the wire brush.
b. Stop the rear wiper motor assembly at the automatic stop position. Install the ear wiper arm at the position shown in the illustration.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)

HINT: Hold down the arm hinge with hand to fasten a nut.

c. Operate the rear wiper while running the water or the washer fluid over the rear window, and check the wiping condition and that the rear wiper does not hit against the vehicle body.
