Blower Motor: Service and Repair

BLOWER ASSEMBLY

OVERHAUL

1. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSY




2. REMOVE AIR DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the screw, disengage the 3 claw fittings and remove the air duct No.2.




3. SEPARATE ECM
a. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the ECM.

4. REMOVE AIR FILTER SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the cooler cover No.1.
b. Remove the air filter sub-assy.




5. REMOVE BLOWER ASSY
a. Disconnect the connector and clamp of the cooling unit motor w/fan sub-assy.
b. Disconnect the connector of the recirculation damper servo.
c. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.




d. Remove the bolt, nut and 2 screws.
e. Disconnect the part fit to the air conditioner radiator assy and remove the blower assy.




6. REMOVE RECIRCULATION DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSY
a. Remove the 3 screws and recirculation damper servo sub-assy.




7. REMOVE COOLING UNIT MOTOR SUB-ASSY W/FAN
a. Remove the 3 screws and cooling unit motor servo sub-assy W/fan.




8. INSTALL BLOWER ASSY
a. Aligning the part to be fit with that of the air conditioner radiator assy, install the blower assy.
b. Install the blower assy, bolt, nut and 2 screws.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)




c. Install the bracket and 2 screws.
d. Install the connector and clamp.




9. INSTALL ECM
a. Install the ECM and 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
