Blower Motor: Service and Repair

BLOWER ASSEMBLY

OVERHAUL

1. REMOVE GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY




2. REMOVE AIR DUCT NO.1
a. Remove the screw, disengage the 3 claw fittings and remove the air duct No.2.




3. SEPARATE ECM
a. Remove the 2 nuts and disconnect the ECM.

4. REMOVE BLOWER ASSEMBLY




a. Disconnect the connector and clamp of the cooling unit motor W/fan sub-assembly.
b. Disconnect the connector of the recirculation damper servo.
c. Remove the 2 screws and bracket.
d. Remove the filter cover.




e. Remove the bolt, nut and 2 screws.
f. Disconnect the part fit to the air conditioner radiator assembly and remove the blower assembly.




5. REMOVE RECIRCULATION DAMPER SERVO SUB-ASSEMBLY
a. Remove the 3 screws and recirculation damper servo sub-assembly.




6. REMOVE COOLING UNIT MOTOR SUB-ASSEMBLY W/FAN
a. Remove the 3 screws and cooling unit motor servo sub-assembly W/fan.

7. INSTALL BLOWER ASSEMBLY




a. Aligning the part to be fit with that of the air conditioner radiator assembly, install the blower assembly.
b. Install the blower assembly, bolt, nut and 2 screws.

Torque: 9.8 N.m (100 kgf.cm, 87 in.lbf)

c. Install the filter cover.




d. Install the bracket and 2 screws.
e. Install the connector and clamp.




8. INSTALL ECM
a. Install the ECM and 2 nuts.

Torque: 5.5 N.m (56 kgf.cm, 49 in.lbf)
