REAR QUARTER PANEL PAINT CHIP PROTECTION

A new anti-chip tape has been developed to help prevent repeat occurrences of paint chipping on the rear quarter panels of Tacoma trucks caused by the impact of road debris. This Technical Service Bulletin is applicable to 1995 ~ 2000 Model Year vehicles.

PART NUMBER INFORMATION:

REPAIR PROCEDURE:







- Apply the anti-chipping tape directly to the painted surface of the rear quarter panel between the rear edge of the front doors and the rear tires as shown.

NOTE:
This repair should be used in conjunction with repainting of the affected area if excessive chipping of the rear quarter panel(s) has occurred.

NOTE:
Apply anti-chipping tape only after the surface has been repainted, cured, and is not hotter than 38�C (100�F).m
