Air Bag Diagnostic System Check

Refer to Precautions for Air Bag System Service Precautions for Air Bag System Service
, Check air bag system according to the following procedures.

Air Bag Diagnostic System Check Flow

1. DTC check

Check DTC referring to DTC Check DTC Check.

NOTE:
If communication between SUZUKI scan tool and vehicle cannot be established, perform "DLC and Its Communication Check (No Communication to SDM)".

Clear DTC referring to DTC Clearance DTC Clearance.

Is there any DTC(s) when rechecking?
YES -
Go to applicable DTC diagnosis flow, and go to Step 5.
NO -
Go to Step 2.

2. Visual inspection

Perform visual inspection referring to Visual Inspection Visual Inspection.

Is there any faulty condition?
YES -
Repair faulty part or replace it, and go to Step 5.
NO -
Go to Step 3.

3. Impact sign check

Check vehicle for evidence of impact.

Are there any signs of impact?
YES -
Inspect faulty connections and replace them according to Repair and Inspection Required after Accident Repair and Inspection Required after Accident
, and go to Step 5.
NO -
Go to Step 4.

4. Intermittent problem check

Check intermittent problems referring to Intermittent Connection and Poor Contact Inspection Intermittent Connection and Poor Contact Inspection.

Is there any faulty condition?
YES -
Repair faulty part or replace it, and go to Step 5.
NO -
Go to Step 5.

5. Final confirmation test

Confirm that problematic symptom has gone and air bag system is free from any abnormal conditions. If what has been repaired is related to DTC, clear DTC once, check that no DTC is indicated.

Does malfunction reoccur?
YES -
Return to Step 1.
NO -
End.
