Perform troubleshooting referring to the following points when no DTC is detected in ECM and no abnormality is found in Visual Inspection Visual Inspection.

Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?
YES -
Go to Step 2.
NO -
Go to Engine and Emission Control System Check Engine and Emission Control System Check.

2. Check battery voltage

Is it 11 V or more?
YES -
Go to Step 3.
NO -
Charge or replace battery.

Can engine be cranked?
YES -
Go to Step 4.
NO -
Go to Testing and Inspection Cranking System Symptom Diagnosis.

Does engine start?
YES -
Go to Step 5.
NO -
Go to Step 7.

5. Check idle speed

Check engine idle speed. Idle Speed Inspection

Is check result as specified?
YES -
Go to Step 6.
NO -
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.

6. Check ignition system

Check ignition system. Ignition System Check

Is check result as specified?
YES -
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.

7. Check immobilizer system for operation

Check immobilizer control system. Immobilizer Control System Check

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Step 8.
NO -
Immobilizer control system malfunction.

8. Check fuel system

Check fuel system. Fuel System Inspection

Is it in good condition?
YES -
Go to Engine Symptom Diagnosis Engine Symptom Diagnosis.
NO -
Repair or replace defective parts.
