Parking Sensor Removal and Installation (If Equipped)

Removal

1) Remove rear bumper. Service and Repair
2) Disconnect parking sensor connector (3).
3) Release claws (2) and remove parking sensor cover (1).
4) Remove parking sensor (4).





5) If necessary, remove sensor bracket.

Installation

Parking Sensor Inspection (If Equipped)
1) If necessary, install sensor bracket (1) according to the following procedure.

In case of reusing sensor bracket:
a) When reusing bumper, remove old double-stick tape from sensor bracket and bumper.
b) Clean and degrease contact surfaces between bumper and sensor bracket.
c) Apply primer (an equivalent 3M K-520 or 4298UV) to the range of primer application (2) on bumper as shown in figure.
d) Install sensor bracket to bumper with new double-stick tape so that connector (3) can be connected to parking sensor (4) in the direction of arrows (5) on bumper as shown in figure.
In case of using new sensor bracket:
e) Remove old double-stick tape from bumper.
f) Clean and degrease contact surface of bumper with sensor bracket.
g) Apply primer (an equivalent 3M K-520 or 4298UV) to the range of primer application (2) on bumper as shown in figure.
h) Install sensor bracket to bumper so that connector (3) can be connected to parking sensor (4) in the direction of arrows (5) on bumper as shown in figure.











2) Install parking sensor to sensor bracket.
3) Install parking sensor cover to sensor bracket.
4) Connect connector to parking sensor.
5) Install rear bumper. Service and Repair
