Generator Removal and Installation




Generator Removal and Installation

Removal

1) Disconnect negative (-) cable from battery.
2) Remove engine cover.
3) Remove accessory drive belt. Removal and Installation
4) Disconnect "B" terminal wire (1) and connector (2) from generator (3).
5) Remove generator (3).

Generator Inspection

Reverse removal procedure, noting the following points

- Tighten generator bolts in numerical order ("1" -> "2" -> "3") evenly and gradually.

Tightening torque
Generator bolt* (a): 45 Nm (4.6 kgf-m, 33.5 lbf-ft)

- Connect wire (1) to generator as shown in figure, and tighten "B" terminal nut to specified torque.

Tightening torque
"B" terminal nut (b): 11 Nm (1.1 kgf-m, 8.5 lbf-ft)
