Fuel Pipe Removal and Installation
Removal
1) Relieve fuel pressure in fuel feed line. Service and Repair
2) Remove battery, battery tray and battery bracket. Service and Repair
3) Remove left side main floor undercover.
4) Remove fuel pipe stopper (1) and disconnect quick joint (3) of fuel feed pipe. Fuel Hose Disconnecting and Reconnecting
5) Mark location of clamps (4) on fuel feed pipe (body side) (2), so that clamps can be reinstalled to where they were.
6) Remove clamps (4) from vehicle body, fuel feed pipe (body side) (2) and brake pipes.
NOTE:
Fuel pipes and brake pipes may be bent or damaged if you are not careful when unclamping them.
Be sure to properly support fuel pipes and brake pipes when removing clamps.
7) Remove fuel feed pipe (body side) (2).
Installation
1) Install clamps (1) to marked location on pipe. If clamp is deformed or broken, replace it with new one.
2) Install fuel feed pipe with pipe clamps (1) to vehicle.
3) Connect quick joint (2) of fuel feed pipe and install fuel pipe stopper (3). Fuel Hose Disconnecting and Reconnecting
NOTE:
Clearance "a" between quick joint and parking brake cable clamp (4) should be more than 15 mm.
4) Install left side main floor undercover.
5) Install battery bracket and battery tray. Service and Repair
6) Install ECM and bracket. Service and Repair
7) Install air cleaner assembly. Air Cleaner Assembly Removal and Installation
8) Install battery. Service and Repair
9) With engine stopped, ignition mode of keyless push start system in "ON" and check for fuel leaks. Fuel Leakage Check Procedure
