Repair Procedure Information
(1) Record pre-set radio stations.(2) Disconnect negative battery cable.
(3) For manual transmission vehicles, twist to remove shift knob.
(4) For manual transmission vehicles, remove console trim panel as shown.
(5) Remove two screws and then carefully remove side trim panel.
(6) Behind side trim panel, unclip gray antenna connector from vehicle and disconnect.
(7) Carefully remove radio trim panel (six clips).
(8) Remove four screws. Remove radio head.
(9) Remove one screw and remove flexible cover, located to the right of the steering wheel.
(10) Remove three screws and carefully remove the instrument panel visor.
(11) Remove two screws and carefully remove flexible cover from instrument cluster.
(12) Remove four screws and carefully remove instrument cluster.
(13) Remove four screws and carefully remove bracket inside of the dash board.
(14) Remove fuse box cover and side panel cover.
(15) Remove two screws and pull lower instrument panel forward.
(16) Disconnect dimmer switch.
(17) Remove four screws, then remove engine cover.
(18) Remove intercooler.
(19) Locate MAP sensor on driver side strut tower. Disconnect MAP sensor harness. Cut connector off of harness. (The harness connector cannot fit through the opening in the firewall.)
(20) Remove screws from boost gauge. Lift boost gauge from dashboard.
(21) Cut all cable ties attaching the boost gauge harness and remove from vehicle. Route and connect replacement harness as shown. After running harness through firewall grommet place a small amount of RTV into grommet/wire gap. Bundle excess harness length behind instrument panel. Use a wire tie to secure it to the dashboard frame. Replace all cable ties to secure harness. Reinstall gauge, radio, and all trim panels. Go to the engine bay and route the MAP sensor portion of the harness to the MAP sensor.
(22) Insert the MAP sensor wires to the MAP sensor connector housing as shown. Connect the MAP sensor connector to the MAP sensor. Push locking tab on connector housing in place.
(23) Replace any wire ties that were cut.
(24) Reinstall intercooler and engine cover.
(25) Connect negative battery cable.
(26) Reset radio stations and set clock.
