Camshaft Gear/Sprocket: Service and Repair

A: REMOVAL
1. Remove V-belt. Refer to Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories; Drive Belt; Service and Repair.
2. Remove crankshaft pulley. Refer to Cylinder Block Assembly; Pulley, Crankshaft; Service and Repair.
3. Remove belt cover. Refer to Timing Components; Timing Cover; Service and Repair.
4. Remove timing belt assembly. Refer to Timing Components; Timing Belt; Service and Repair.





5. Remove camshaft sprocket No.1 and No. 2. To lock camshaft, use ST.

B: INSTALLATION





1. Install camshaft sprocket No. 1 and No. 2. To lock camshaft, use ST.
ST 499207100 CAMSHAFT SPROCKET WRENCH
Tightening torque: 78 Nm (8.0 kgf-m, 57.9 ft. lbs.)

CAUTION: Do not confuse left and right side camshaft sprockets during installation. The camshaft sprocket No. 2 is identified by a projection used to monitor camshaft position sensor.

2. Install timing belt assembly.
3. Install belt cover.
4. Install crankshaft pulley.
5. Install V-belt.
