TITLE: VDC Precautions

APPLIES TO: 01 Outback H6-3.0 with VDC

SERVICE TIP:

Use caution when performing PDIs and/or Service work on 2001MY Outback models w/VDC (Vehicle Dynamic Control). It is very important to install the "VDC off" fuse, prior to raising ALL 4 wheels off the ground, engine running, and transmission in gear.

The attached photos illustrate the procedure that should be followed. Failure to follow this procedure can result in a VDC failure. All VDC failures must then be reset using the select monitor.






Install 10A fuse into VDC OFF fuse slot.
