Water Pump: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove radiator.
2. Remove V-belt.
3. Remove front chain cover.
4. Remove timing chain.





5. Remove water pump.

INSTALLATION





1. Install water pump onto rear chain cover.
Tightening torque: 6.4 Nm (0.65 kgf-m, 4.7 ft. lbs.)

CAUTION: Replace O-rings with a new one.

2. Install timing chain assembly.
3. Install front chain cover.
4. Install V-belt.
5. Install radiator.
6. Fill coolant.

INSPECTION
1. Check water pump bearing for smooth rotation.
2. Check water pump pulley for abnormalities.
