EGR Valve: Description and Operation
EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE
The Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve is situated between the Exhaust Manifold and Collector. After the Engine Control Module (ECM) opens the EGR solenoid valve, the EGR valve is able to receive throttle port pressure on diaphragm. Part of the exhaust gas is then recirculated into the collector chamber.
