ABS & TCS Indicator Lights Do Not Come on

OVERVIEW
A malfunction exists in the warning light drive circuit.

TROUBLE SOURCES
^ Faulty ABS warning light.
^ Faulty Traction Control System (TCS) warning light.
^ Faulty TCS OFF light.
^ Faulty TCS operating indicator light.
^ Faulty harness connector.
^ Faulty ABS/TCS control module.

TROUBLE SYMPTOMS
^ Warning light does not illuminate.
^ Impossible to read trouble code.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE
1. Check Warning Light Power Supply as follows:
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.
b) Disconnect combination meter.
c) Check ABS warning light valve.
d) Turn ignition switch ON.

e) Measure voltage between combination meter connector (i14) terminal 11 and body. Voltage should be 10 - 12 volts.
2. Check input voltage of ABS/TCS control module as follows:
a) Turn ignition switch OFF and remove combination meter.
b) Disconnect connector from ABS/TCS control module.
c) Turn ignition switch ON.

d) Measure voltage between ABS/TCS control module connector (P6) terminals and body according to the list below:
^ ABS warning (terminal 2): 10 - 12 Volts
^ TCS warning (terminal 3): 10 - 12 Volts
^ TCS operation (terminal 11): 10 - 12 Volts
^ TCS OFF (terminal 10): 10 - 12 Volts

3. Check ground line of ABS/TCS control module by measuring resistance between body and ABS/TCS control module connector (P4) terminal 6, (P5) terminal 5 and (P7) terminal 15. Resistance between body and each connector terminal should be 0 ohms.
