DIAGNOSIS
^ AET communication cable is broken or short circuited.
^ AEB communication cable is broken or short circuited.
^ AEC communication cable is broken or short circuited.

TROUBLE SYMPTOM
^ Traction Control System (TCS) does not operate.

PROCEDURE
1. Check communication cables.
a) Operate the TCS sequence control.

b) Measure the voltage between ABS/TCS control module and the body during the TCS check sequence operation.
Connector & terminal:
(P6) No. 12 & body (AET communication cable)
(P6) No. 5 & body (AEB communication cable)
(P6) No. 14 & body (AEC communication cable)
Specified voltage: The voltage of each terminal varies in accordance with the TCS sequence pattern.

2. Check Harness Between ABS/TCS Control Module And Engine Control Module.
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.
b) Disconnect engine control module.
c) Disconnect ABS/TCS control module.

d) Measure voltage between ABS/TCS control connector and body.
Connector & terminal / Specified voltage:
(P6) No. 12 & body / 0 Volts (AET communication cable)
(P6) No. 5 & body / 0 Volts (AEB communication cable)
(P6) No. 14 & body / 0 Volts (AEC communication cable)
e) Turn ignition switch ON.
f) Measure voltage between ABS/TCS control module connector and body.
Connector & terminal / Specified voltage:
(P6) No. 12 & body / 0 Volts (AET communication cable)
(P6) No. 5 & body / 0 Volts (AEB communication cable)
(P6) No. 14 & body / 0 Volts (AEC communication cable)

3. Check ABS/TCS control module internal circuits.
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.
b) Disconnect engine control module.
c) Connect ABS/TCS control module.

d) Measure voltage between ABS/TCS control module connector and body.
Connector & terminal / Specified voltage:
(P6) No. 12 & body / 0 Volts (AET communication cable)
(P6) No. 5 & body / 0 Volts (AEB communication cable)
(P6) No. 14 & body / 0 Volts (AEC communication cable)
e) Turn ignition switch ON.
f) Measure voltage between ABS/TCS control module connector and body.
Connector & terminal / Specified voltage:
(P6) No. 12 & body / 0 Volts (AET communication cable)
(P6) No. 5 & body / 0 Volts (AEB communication cable)
(P6) No. 14 & body / 0 Volts (AEC communication cable)

4. Check output voltage of engine control module.
a) Turn ignition switch OFF.
b) Connect engine control module.
c) Connect ABS/TCS control module.
d) Turn ignition switch ON.

e) Measure voltage between engine control module connector and body.
Connector & terminal / Specified voltage:
(B84) No. 74 & body / 5 Volts (AET communication cable)
(B84) No. 73 & body / 5 Volts (AEB communication cable)
