Measuring Hydraulic Pressure






1. Refer to Troubleshooting / Steering Condition items 1,2, and 3 for conditions that must be considered before conducting the test.
Steering Condition
2. Do not leave valve of pressure gauge closed or hold steering wheel at stop end for 5 seconds or more, as oil pump may be damaged.

3. Connect test equipment as shown in illustration.
4. Place a rag where fluid may drop before gauge is installed, wipe off spilt fluid after measurements.
5. Keep engine idling during measurements

Regular Pressure: 981 kPa (10 kg.cm2, 142 psi) or less.
Relief Pressure: 7,649-8,336 kPa (78-85 kg.cm2, 1,109-1,209 psi)
