Variable Induction Control Solenoid: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
The induction control solenoid is controlled by the ECU to control operation of the induction system.

LOCATION
The solenoid is located under the left side of the intake manifold.

OPERATION
The solenoid is an electrically operated vacuum switch. When the ECU completes the ground circuit to the solenoid, it opens to allow vacuum to the induction control valve.
