Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Description and Operation

The dual proportioning valve is incorporated as a rear wheel hydraulic pressure control system for the diagonal braking configuration. During hard braking, the DPV prevents rear wheel locking by lowering the fluid pressure in the rear wheel cylinder lower than that of the in the front cylinder.
