DTC 05
Use a digital circuit tester for this diagnostic procedure.1. Disconnect connector from ABS control unit, then raise and support vehicle.
2. If trouble code 5 is present, measure voltage between ABS control unit connector terminals 4 and 22. Voltage should be 200-300 mVolts. At a creep speed on automatic transmission models.
3. If trouble code 6 is present, measure voltage between ABS control unit connector terminals 11 and 21. Voltage should be 200-300 mVolts. At a creep speed on automatic transmission models.
4. Disconnect ABS control unit connector.
5. If trouble code 5 is present, measure resistance between control unit connector terminal 22 and ground. Resistance should be 1 Mohm minimum.
6. If trouble code 6 is present, measure resistance between control unit connector terminal 21 and ground. Resistance should be 1 Mohm minimum.
7. Disconnect sensor connector.
8. If trouble code 5 is present, measure resistance between lefthand sensor terminals. Resistance should be 800-1300 ohms.
9. If trouble code 6 is present, measure resistance between righthand sensor terminals. Resistance should be 800-1300 ohms.
10. Measure resistance between left or right sensor terminal 1 and ground. Resistance should be 1 Mohm minimum.
