Throttle Position Sensor

Accelerator And Throttle-Position Switch Inspection:

ACCELERATOR SWITCH
Switch must turn ON within a range from 3 to 7 mm (0.12 to 0.28 in) from the released position of the accelerator pedal.

THROTTLE-POSITION SWITCH
Switch must turn ON within a range from 16 to 24 mm (0.63 to 0.94 in).

INSPECTION

Switch Troubleshooting Chart:

Beyond these specified ranges, both switches must turn OFF. When either switch operates beyond the specified range, problems listed in the chart will occur.
