Fig. 6 Front Suspension Assembly:

Refer to Fig. 6, when performing the following procedure.
1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove front wheels.
3. Disconnect brake hose from strut bracket.
4. Remove bolts securing strut and strut bracket to housing. Carefully remove strut from housing with housing positioned downward.
5. Remove strut to shock tower retaining nuts and the strut assembly.
6. Properly position strut assembly in spring compressor tool. Compress spring and remove strut mount retaining nut.
7. Remove strut from spring compressor tool.
8. Remove upper washer, mount, lower washer, O-ring, strut washer, oil seal, lower strut washer, spring seat, dust cover, spring and helper bumper from strut.
9. Inspect all components for wear, and replace as necessary. The strut assembly itself is not repairable. If strut shows signs of excessive leakage, or is damaged, it should be replaced.
10. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Refer to Fig. 6 for tightening specifications.
b. Ensure hydraulic brake system is properly bled.
