Ball Joint: Service and Repair

Fig. 6 Front Suspension Assembly:

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove front wheels.
3. Remove cotter pin and castle nut from ball stud, then disconnect ball stud from transverse link.
4. Remove ball joint to housing retaining bolt and the ball joint.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Refer to image for tightening specifications.
