Canister Purge Control Valve: Description and Operation

PURPOSE
Controls release of fuel vapors from the charcoal canister.

LOCATION
Top of charcoal canister.

OPERATION
Valve is controlled by manifold vacuum. Purging is regulated by the ECU through the purge control solenoid valve, which the ECU opens and closes under specified driving conditions.
