Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

Inspect brake line connections at DPV for fluid leakage. If leakage is found tighten lines or replace DPV.
1. Disconnect brake line flare nuts at all six connections from DPV.
2. Remove retaining bolt, then DPV from vehicle. Do not disassemble or adjust valve. The valve must be replaced as a unit.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Torque retaining bolt to 3-5 ft. lbs.
b. Torque flare nuts to 11-14 ft. lbs.
