Pick-Up Coil: Adjustments

Air Gap:

1. Remove distributor.
2. Loosen reluctor holddown screws.
3. Adjust reluctor air gap as follows:
a. Using a brass feeler gauge, measure the distance between the reluctor tips and each pole.
b. Move reluctor until all gaps are equal.

AIR GAP CLEARANCE
0.008 - 0.016 in (0.2 - 0.4 mm)

5. Tighten screws.
5. Re-install distributor, rotor and cap.
5. Adjust ignition timing.
