Front and Rear Oil Seal
Installation






1. Install front oil seal to cylinder block using OIL SEAL INSTALLER (499567000). Coat the outside surface of oil seal with engine oil, and oil seal lip with grease. Force-fit oil seal squarely into position. Max. allowable out-of-squareness of oil seal: 0.2 mm (0.008 in).






1. Install rear oil seal to cylinder block using INSTALLER (499587000). Coat oil seal lips with grease. Coat the outside surface of oil seal with engine oil. Max. allowable out-of-squareness of oil seal: 0.3mm (0.012 in).
2. Install oil separator cover with gasket placed in between.
Tightening torque: 4.4 - 5.4 N-rn (0.45 -0.55 kg-rn, 3.3 - 4.0 ft-lb).
