VII. Vehicle Preparation and Repair

CAUTION: WHEN PREPARING A VEHICLE FOR SALE ALL IDENTIFYING LABELS MUST NOT BE REMOVED, DAMAGED OR COVERED OVER BY PAINT, UNDERCOATING, ETC.



Any XT vehicle damaged before the sale to the first customer must be repaired so the identifying labels either original or replacement (if an applicable replacement part is used) are present and legible.

^ During accessory installation the labels must not be damaged or removed.
^ When the vehicles are being undercoated the original equipment parts label must be masked to prevent covering over. When the undercoating is finished the mask must be removed.
^ The labels cannot be damaged or removed during transit.
^ All applicable parts labels should be examined during predelivery inspection (PDI) to make sure the labels are present and legible.

After the sale of the vehicle parts covered by this standard can be repaired or replaced by the Distributor Dealer; However, any affixed label must remain visible after a repair or replacement.
