Section B: Visual Inspection
1. Hoist vehicle on lift so all wheels are free.2. Remove both rear wheels making sure to mark original positions (R and L: stud locations).
3. Wearing protective goggles and a mask, visually inspect all surfaces of the inner arms of the rear suspension for any perforation.
Notes:
Special attention should be given to the upper areas of each component. Use a flex - head mirror to view upper sides of surfaces not visible.
4. Judgement of repairs necessary:
A) IF NO PERFORATION IS OBSERVED IN ANY AREA, PROCEED TO SECTION C - PUNCH TEST.
B) IF PERFORATION IS OBSERVED, PERFORM PUNCH TEST ON THE REMAINING (NON-PERFORATED) COMPONENTS AND REPLACE COMPONENTS AS INSTRUCTED.
