REAR DISC BRAKE SHIMS


Outboard rear brake pads on 1985 Turbo station Wagons and Turbo Sedan 4-Doors will be equipped with brake pad shims in production beginning with the following starting VIN'S:


TURBO 4-DOOR 215 950
TURBO STATION WAGON 428 924





Outboard rear brake pad shims (P/N 251 91GA 690) shown in figure 1, will be available for vehicles produced before the VIN's listed above that experience rear brake noise. These parts will be available through normal parts channels.


The shims must be installed between the rear outboard brake pad and the caliper with the three tabs of the shim secured to the brake pad. This applies to all Turbo vehicles produced before the VIN's listed above.

Rear brake pad sets with shims (P/N 251 91GA 531) are also available through normal parts channels as replacement parts for all Turbo vehicles.

These brake pad kits will be available through parts department on or about the end of February.
