Carburetor - Float Level Specification Corrections

APPLICABILITY ALL 1985 VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH HITACHI CARBURETORS DATE: 11-25-85


SUBJECT: FLOAT LEVEL SPECIFICATIONS

The specification chart on Page 11, Chapter 2-6, (volume 1) of the 1985 Service Manual incorrectly states that CLEARANCE H (float height) should be 18.0-18.4 mm - (0.709-0.724 in.) and CLEARANCE L (float drop) should be 1.3-1.7 mm - (0.051-0.067 in.)

The correct specifications are:


CLEARANCE H - 11.5-12.5 mm (0.453-0.492 in.)
CLEARANCE L - 1.5-1.9 mm (0.059-0.075 in.)


The 1985 Service Manual Correction Supplement will list the correct specifications.
