GF82.30-P-0003MCU Wiper System (WSA), Function


The wiper system (WSA) is operated centrally using the right wiper switch (S4/4). The position of the wiper switch is read in by the SAM control unit (N10/10). The SAM control unit actuates the following components directly:
^ Wiper motor (M6/1)
^ Rear-end door wiper motor (M6/4) (with model 451.3)

The SAM control unit is notified of the park position of the wiper arms via a signal contact that is integrated in the wiper motors.

The window washer fluid pump (M5/1) is actuated directly via the wiper switch.

^ Wiping at fast speed
^ Wiping with washer fluid
^ Intermittent wipe

Rear window (with model 451.3)
^ Intermittent wipe
^ Wiping with washer fluid
^ Automatic wiping when reverse gear engaged
