GF83.10-P-2201MCC Actuator Motors, Component Description
- with CODE (I01) Air conditioning Plus

M16/8 Blend air flap actuator
M39 Air recirculation flap actuator motor

Location
The blend air flap actuator and the air recirculation flap actuator motor are located on the right of the air conditioner housing.

Task
Adjusting the blend air and air recirculation flap depending on the specifications of the heater/AC operating unit (N23).

Blend air flap actuator
The blend air flap actuator is used to adjust the ventilation temperature of the vehicle interior.
The blend air flap actuator is actuated via the heater/AC operating unit depending on the position of the temperature preselection slider switch and the actual interior temperature according to defined characteristics and moves the blend air flap.
The blend air flap opens or closes the air passage in order to achieve the desired interior temperature.

The specified flap angle of the blend air flap is determined by the heater/AC operating unit depending on the following information:
^ Specified temperature set on the temperature preselection slider switch
^ Measured interior temperature
^ Temperature measured at the evaporator
^ Coolant temperature

The blend air flap actuator reports its position to the heater/AC operating unit via an integrated potentiometer.

Recirculated air flap actuator motor
The air recirculation flap actuator motor is used to close or open the air recirculation flap. This allows or prevents the fresh air supply from the outside into the air conditioner housing. When the air recirculation switch (N23s3) on the heater/AC operating unit is pressed, the air recirculation flap actuator motor is actuated. In air recirculation mode, air is drawn out of the vehicle interior into the air conditioner housing.
