L11 Transponder coil

Location
The transponder coil is located on the ignition/starter switch (S2/1) in the center console.

Task
Communication with inserted transmitter key and transmission of ID code to enable drive authorization system (DAS) to the SAM control unit (N10/10).

Function
The ID code is transmitted inductively when circuit 15 is ON.The ID code is relayed directly to the SAM control unit.
