Installation

BRAKE SYSTEM (OTHER): BRAKE PEDAL (for Automatic Transmission): INSTALLATION; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. INSTALL BRAKE PEDAL SUPPORT ASSEMBLY

(a) Install the brake pedal support assembly with the 4 nuts.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

(b) Install the brake pedal support assembly with the 2 bolts.

Torque : 18 Nm (184 kgf-cm, 13 ft-lbf)

2. INSTALL PUSH ROD PIN

(a) Apply lithium soap base glycol grease to the new push rod pin.









(b) Connect the brake master cylinder push rod clevis to the brake pedal with the new push rod pin, and install a new clip as shown in the illustration.

NOTICE:
After installation, check that the pedal operates smoothly.

3. INSTALL STOP LIGHT SWITCH MOUNTING ADJUSTER

(a) Engage the 2 claws and install the stop light switch mounting adjuster.

4. INSPECT AND ADJUST BRAKE PEDAL

6. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL FREE PLAY

For Automatic Transmission

7. INSPECT BRAKE PEDAL RESERVE DISTANCE
