DOOR / HATCH: FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY: REMOVAL; 2013 MY FR-S [03/2012 -]

1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH Removal

2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

3. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP LH

Disconnect the front door opening trim weatherstrip to the extent that allows the removal of the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

4. DISCONNECT FRONT DOOR OPENING TRIM WEATHERSTRIP RH

5. REMOVE FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY

6. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY LH Removal

7. REMOVE SEPARATE TYPE REAR SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT

9. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE Removal

10. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER RH

(a) Disengage the 5 clips and remove the luggage compartment inner trim cover RH.

11. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT INNER TRIM COVER LH Removal

12. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH Removal

13. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH

Use the same procedure as for the LH side.

14. REMOVE NO. 2 PACKAGE TRAY TRIM SPACER

(a) Using a clip remover, remove the 2 clips and the No. 2 package tray trim spacer.

15. REMOVE HANDLE COVER

(a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw.

(b) Remove the screw.

(c) Remove the handle cover as shown in the illustration.

16. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK OPEN LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Peel back the floor carpet.

(b) Remove the 2 nuts and the fuel lid lock open lever sub-assembly.

(c) Disconnect the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.

17. REMOVE FUEL LID LOCK CONTROL CABLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly as indicated by the arrows, in the order shown in the illustration.

(b) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 11 clamps and remove the fuel lid lock control cable sub-assembly.
