How to Proceed With Troubleshooting

3. CHECK FOR DTC*

(a) Check for DTCs and note any codes that are output Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(b) Check for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes.

(c) Recheck for DTCs Reading and Clearing Diagnostic Trouble Codes. Based on the DTCs output above, try to force output of the same CAN communication system DTC or occupant classification system DTC by simulating the symptoms indicated by the DTC.
