DESCRIPTION
The rear door lock motor is built into the rear door lock. The main body ECU controls the rear door lock to lock/unlock the rear door. This main body ECU applies current from terminal ACT+ to terminal ACT- to operate the motor to lock the door. It reverses the direction of the current flow to operate the motor to unlock the door.

PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT REAR DOOR LOCK
(a) Remove the rear door lock Removal.
(b) Apply battery voltage and check operation of the door lock motor.
OK:
(c) Reinstall the rear door lock Installation.
NG -- REPLACE REAR DOOR LOCK Removal
OK -- Continue to next step.
2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (REAR DOOR LOCK MOTOR - MAIN BODY ECU)
(a) Disconnect the H3 (LH side) or K3 (RH side) rear door lock connector.
(b) Disconnect the 4A main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
(c) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.
Standard resistance (LH side):
Standard resistance (RH side):
(d) Reconnect the rear door lock connector.
(e) Reconnect the main body ECU (instrument panel junction block) connector.
NG -- REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR
OK -- REPLACE MAIN BODY ECU
