Removal





DOOR LOCK: REAR DOOR LOCK: REMOVAL

HINT
* Use the same procedure for both the RH and LH sides.
* The procedure described below is for the RH side.

1. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

2. REMOVE REAR DOOR ARMREST BASE UPPER PANEL Disassembly

3. REMOVE REAR DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL Disassembly

4. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

5. REMOVE REAR DOOR TRIM BRACKET Disassembly

6. REMOVE REAR DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER Disassembly

7. SEPARATE REAR DOOR WEATHERSTRIP Disassembly

8. REMOVE REAR DOOR BELT MOULDING ASSEMBLY

9. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS RUN Disassembly

10. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW DIVISION BAR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

11. REMOVE REAR DOOR QUARTER WINDOW WEATHERSTRIP Disassembly

12. REMOVE REAR DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

13. REMOVE REAR DOOR WINDOW REGULATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY Disassembly

14. REMOVE REAR DOOR LOCK

(a) Using a "TORX" socket wrench T30, remove the 3 screws.





(b) Move the rear door lock downward and pull the release plate out of the rear door outside handle frame.

(c) Remove the door lock wire harness seal from the rear door lock.

(d) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claw and open the cover.





(e) Remove the rear door lock remote control cable.





(f) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the 3 claws and open the cover.





(g) Remove the rear door inside locking cable.
